In case you're wondering, I'm just going for 1400 personal posts. Someone had suggested I try for 1500 by the 31st (one week from tomorrow) so what the heck.

I have it set for 40 posts per page so my current display says that there are 263 pages of posts in this thread.
I can usually see ~3 replies in the space that my window provides w/ avatars and sigs turned on (I run a 1600x1200 display, but do not maximize the window as other things are running that I want to be able to keep an eye on).

At the beginning of the thread the estimated completion date was sometime roughly in 2023, after a while it moved to sometime in 2025 (late in the year).
We then had the Pixes death scare and rocketed the date back three full years to some time in 2022. But that is quickly slipping back out to 2023.
If actual interest in the thread continues at the current pace I would say that 2024 or 2025 is a likely completion time. But I strongly suspect that we will not be able to hold the momentum on the thread :)
I guess I need to play with the calculator for a while to see what kinds of posting rates would put us at what dates.

It's Smurf Trivia Time!!!!! Thanks Dadiast!
On October 23, 1958 the Smurfs made their first appearance in a story of Johan & Peewit in “Le Journal de Spirou”. Their creator Peyo had worked previously at a number of drawing jobs. But the introduction of the Smurfs into Spirou would change his life.

Far, very far from here, in a little village full of mushroom-shaped houses live the Smurfs. The little characters are three apples high, have blue skin and are dressed in white trousers and a cap. Yet they are a happy, easy-going bunch - give or take one or two.

The Smurfs speak a very strange language. Some words are replaced by “Smurf”, as well as some of the verbs. Instead of saying, “I caught a cold in the nose”, they would say, “I smurfed a smurf in the nose“.

Who are the smurfs????? Welll let me introduce you!!!
You can recognise the village leader with his white beard and red clothes. Papa Smurf is no less than 542 years old - and no more either. He uses his wisdom to advise rather than tell people what to do. He often rescues the younger Smurfs from danger. He’s also a pretty good alchemist.

In the long running Hanna-Barbera cartoon, Papa Smurf was voiced by Don Messick. Don is probably best known as the original Voice of Scoobert (Scooby) Doo.
A long LONG list of other voice roles he did can be found on imdb.com
Don also did:

The only Smurf to take everything seriously. Brainy is a moraliser who believes everything Papa Smurf says is sacred. Everyone puts up with him, but let’s face it: he’s a bore. In fact, he’s a real pain in the Smurf.
