This music trio had their own show, 'Alvin and the Chipmunks', airing in 1983 and was produced by Ross Bagdasarian Jr. The characters were created by singer/songwriter Ross Bagdasarian Sr. in an early '50s Liberty Records single, "The Chipmunk Song" (sold five million copies in seven weeks).
