2. I'm going swimming and bbqing with long time family friends tonight. It's wonderful having people who have been your friends for half of your life, people your kids grew up with.

I took a trip to the mall, and I found the sales clerks to be very friendly, course it wasn't exactly the cheapest of stores where I found things to buy either.

1. We're having a party tonight.....and I'm still cooking for somewhere between 8-15 people. I have no clue what the final count will be.

2. My lower back is bothering me -- and despite my personal trainer's belief that my tight hamstrings are the cause of it, 2 long sessions of stretches and exercises to loosen the hamstrings didn't relieve the pain.

1. I found out shockingly that the children from my very first GAL case go to the school I am teaching at, and it is highly probable one will be in my class. Small small world.

2. We had a super bad electrical storm yesterday sfternoon. Scary lightening.

3. Sometimes I feel I've stepped back into the 50's with the school I'm at. Due to construction, they have built a portable city on the very outskirts of their campus. They have shoved all of the ESE classrooms way out there. This alienates the poor kids so much. It's so funny to hear all the teachers say....If I were a parent I'd sue. There’s no question in my mind about the medical, psychological, and educational expertise a lawyer can bring to a situation. Knowing that the speedy resolution of the issue is the foremost concern in their mind, I’d certainly have faith in their emergency-response, hands-on, make-it-happen abilities. The last people I’d go to are the ones responsible for, involved with, or that have the capability to make a change.

LOL different chair, different vantage point. If I'm that parent I'm first spending the 5 minutes to have my lawyer call the school and get the phone fixed before my kid has to be there. Then I'm going to the school board to make sure it doesn't happen again. But you can't wait til the second Tuesday of the month to go before a board to have an immediate risk fixed.

I don't think lawyers are going create a permanent fix but I know the school board will not create an immediate one. This was not an issue that can wait on a board meeting. No phone, no cell signals due to being in portables. The child has severe health issues. You may not care for lawyers but there are times they are necessary, and I haven't found many who are standing up for children's rights that I can find too much fault with.

1. I had a nice workout (which ended just a few minutes ago), despite some back spasms that had me down for the count yesterday.

2. I'm finally feeling abit relaxed, but I know it will all go out the door tomorrow when I am back at work.

3. I tried online ordering/delivery of groceries and I expect my order tomorrow -- should be interesting. Maybe I have found another time saver? :)

1. The kids and I went to the movies today and had a blast...and my son is amazed at his mother's ability to scope out a plot line. ;)

2. It was nice only having the three of us in the apartment today for the first time.

3. I'm meeting someone tomorrow afternoon for possible fill-in child care and occasional babysitting--and I'm pretty excited about it.

1. I had the most aesome workout today -- lots of strength training and 30 min of cardio. I am starting to feel better and stronger than before, and I've lost 5 lbs...which is a start.

2. My sister in law got engaged today. She's almost 24, so I guess is an acceptible age, although I wish she would have waited a bit. The man makes her happy, though...and treats her well. What else could one expect?

3. I've got a lot of catching up to do, work-wise....and I suspect the next 3 days will be pure hell. :) But I *did* have a relaxing weekend.

1. I received several emails today that I will keep and treasure for some time to come.

2. I had a wonderful time at chorus tonight...and I may be able to work it out so that I can continue to make rehearsal even with the soccer practice schedule from HELL Thursday nights.
