- I find out about this comics issue entry deadline of September 1st for one of the local biweekly papers too damn late to do something well-made for. I can draw fast, but sloppy is as sloppy does. The paper is very popular and it would've been good exposure had I gotten in, which is something I need for my future book endeavors. I had a slight week-long slump at the beginning of the month wherein I could've had something done but didn't work on anything, which pissed me off. I have to keep my eyes open better and get my me-time scheduling more tighter.

- Yankees sweep the Red Sox!

- The new Bob Marley & The Wailers Remixed album is making me wanna lively up myself.

The only down note of today — finding out that one of my favorite fantasy-adventure authors, Robert Jordan, creator of The Wheel of Time series, died of complications from a blood disorder at age 58. The planned, mammoth-paged final book of the seres, titled "A Memory of Light," remains (so far) unfinished. :(

- I'm a month behind my personal schedule on my artwork and planned stories because of putting my head towards other committments and general laziness. I have so many pieces and projects I started up and didn't finish, it's ridiculous.

- The only thing I want and could really use right now, is a new, working laptop. I might buy a used one just to tide me over until next year as I can't afford a new one without that tasty income tax return.

- It's been a week into my daily park runs and long distance walking for exercise and I do feel good. But the time I use for that cut into the previous time I used for my artwork. I have to structure my time for everything better.

- My boss asked me in to work today to cover for someone. I had planned on staying in and doing my own thing, but it's not losing anything getting overtime for a day and I can definitely use it.

1. First time I drove anywhere since my surgery. Surgeon yesterday suggested light driving around town would be okay as long as I felt up to it but suggested waiting until the incision is fully healed before more distant journeys. Still, it's a step forward.
2. Had breakfast with friends this morning. Probably the biggest breakfast since my surgery. That was fun, too.
3. Checked this morning and the incision has filled in enough that the 7.5" by 1.5" is now down to about 5" by 1". Making progress and filling in nicely. :)

A family today on the train ride into work pissed me off royally. ~ Had a nightmare last night in which my late father had a starring role. :mad:

~ Last night I went driving around town on the snowy streets before they had been plowed and had an absolute blast. My town closes down around 9pm so there was absolutely no cars out and I was free to be a reckless moron! :p

My Achilles tendon is ripping, and it hurts like a bitch. And it's 2 weeks until I see the orthopedist.

- It was hectic for three hours when I got into work today, mostly thanks to the new deadlines imposed a few weeks ago.

- I'm about to go and check out the first of the apartments I've gotten replies to. I wish it wasn't so deathly dark outside.
