1) Back from Palo Alto on a redeye last night. Slept the whole way.

2) My faith in the honesty of people got a recent lift: I left my Kindle on a flight into Washington Dulles and thought I'd never see it again. Three days letter I received a note telling me that United was holding it for me. :)

3) Received a nice note this week from my ex-girlfriend. We're just friends now but understand each other more deeply than most others because of our prior intimacy. ;)

1 Just got back from a 3 hour torture session otherwise known as a FCE (Functional Capacity Evaluation) that my new lawyer told me I would need to haveto have any chance of getting disability.

2 I am still pissed at my old lawyer for not mentioning anything about a FCE to me and for dropping me about a month before my hearing

The family are obviously gutted, but they have their daughter, she departed from something beyond anyone's control and they have all the elements to grieve. Many families have none of these, as children disappear into the void.

I think the worst was all of her friends. Moving like zombies. One poor girl simply couldn't go in. She sat out in the hall shaking her head. The director of the funeral home just knelt next to her, keeping her calm.

I got in a car wreck Saturday morning and I'm not sure how it's going to play out (no injuries and the other vehicle drove away)

I'm going to miss the Super Bowl again this year.

All of the other person's information is in the accident report. The officer asked for license, registration, and insurance.

When you said the other vehicle drove away, I though it was a "leaving the scene of the accident" thing.

If that was the case I wouldn't be worried about how this will turn out. The damage to my vehicle was so minimal it wouldn't have been worth notifying the insurance company. It'll take less than $50.00 US to replace the headlight assembly.

1) There was a fire in my apartment building (in the unit right below mine) that resulted in me not being able to live there for 1-3 months as they repair. Fortunately nothing of mine was destroyed, just smoke damage. However, when the apartments are ready for tenants again, my landlord is moving me downstairs to help ease my back issues (at least regarding climbing stairs)

2) My brother volunteered to let me stay at his place until I can move back in, and he's hooked me up with internet on my computer (something I haven't had in almost 2 years, I've been stuck using my kindle)

3) Found out today that the company doing the clean up will be moving my store to a storage unit for free, thanks to the apartment building's owner's insurance.

Ischemic strokes do not always lead to big strokes. My mother had several ischemic events in her early 50s, but lived to 71.

Last night, it went down to 5.5C with an apparent temp of 1.2C in Fang's town. Coming down from 65F, that's cold.
