When was your LAST flight, and where to/from?

Euphemism
12-21-2003, 02:07 PM
Last flight was from Colorado to Florida. I didn't want to come back to Jax after hitting a number of cities - Boston, Chicago, Denver, etc. While it was a series of business trips for conferences, I was able to get a little time away to visit friends I'd known for years online. Very fun!

Rollerblades or quad skates?

WildIrish
12-22-2003, 09:22 PM

dicksbro
12-23-2003, 01:09 PM
This year we'll be home. Our daughter and her family who live in Peoria will be over as will our son who lives in Peoria. Our girls in Indianapolis and Cincinnati came over at Thanksgiving to reduce that chance that bad weather would keep them away ... so we'll talk to them by phone. It's going to be a nice Christmas. ;)

Will you be having family to your house?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-23-2003, 01:17 PM
Not family, but friends. We're to celebrate Christmas/do the dinner thing with friends here in town, then have other friends over Christmas night and afterwards.

Euphemism
12-23-2003, 01:38 PM

Describe your typical Xmas day

dicksbro
12-24-2003, 08:21 AM
Christmas really starts this evening. My wife and I will help at a Christmas Eve service at our church. We'll get all the presents out and put under the tree.

Normally, Christmas morning begins about 6:30 or 7:00 (it's gotten a little later since our kids are bigger ... used to be 4:00 or 4:30 :D). Our oldest daughter and her family should show up around 7:00, then we'll say a short prayer and open the gifts. After the gifts, we'll visit a bit while my wife and daughter finish up the breakfast preparation. Then breakfast. My daughter and her family will then probably leave to go to my son-in-law's parents to spend part of the day, and we'll just relax and enjoy time together.

What do you do?

Sharni
12-24-2003, 08:26 AM
We get woken up early (i mean sparrow fart early like  ) by excited kids who wanna show what santa brought them :D
Then when everyone is up (note i didnt say awake *LOL*)we unwrap the pressies under the tree
Then its on to eat...eat...eat...eat...sleep...eat...eat *LOL*...ya get the picture

Would you like to spend a Xmas in summer weather?

Euphemism

In the closet underneath other boxes :)

What birthday was the toughest for you to face so far?

dicksbro
12-24-2003, 02:17 PM
Probably my 40th ... although I didn't think so. But, my wife kept saying that it seemed to bother me.

(So, wadda' I know ... after all, I'm only me ... and it's hard to see yourself without a mirror ... and, even if you have a mirror, everything's bas-ackwards. :D)

So, what's on the dinner menu for tomorrow?

Steph
12-26-2003, 01:26 PM
I didn't do anything special, actually. I had to work and I'm a veg . . . I'll tell you that my family b-b-qed one turkey, baked another and had some of my grandfather's special meaty stuffing along with potatoes, cabbage, parsnips, turnips and carrots with salt meat.

back in 1989, I went to a concert at Skydome here in Toronto and as the venue had just opened, they hadn't perfected any sound and it just reverberated off the roof throughout the building and unless you were right in front of the stage, you couldn't hear anything other than garble

what is the best concert you've been to and why?

I was twelve and was at the house of a guy I'd been in elementary and middle school with for years, and who had always been my "boyfriend" for his birthday party. We were in the woods behind his house and were heading back up when he turned around and kissed me, right on the lips. I think I was in shock more than anything.

Who gave you you *best* kiss, and describe who and the circumstances, please?

Justin
12-30-2003, 02:01 PM
A girl from the high school band who played trumpet. we became friends first, then let things grow.We went to see 'Risky Business" at a drive in, she reached over and grabbed my hand.
That kiss, that night...We dated for a year, but had to go our separate ways.....
