Sharni
12-07-2003, 04:10 AM
Yes...my mother, my grandmother and my uncle...breast cancer!

Do you fear death?

dicksbro
12-07-2003, 04:11 AM
Yes, I think I've had two blood uncles and one uncle through marriage that had/have cancer. My mother-in-law who just passed away had breast cancer, but surgery got rid of that and she'd been cancer-free for 15-years or more. Seems like the bigger problem has been heart trouble (which we associated with heavy smoking). :(

Is there an aunt or uncle you've felt especially close to?

Steph
12-07-2003, 04:18 AM
My aunt who is my godmother is having a tough time (understandble) with the stomach/liver diagnosis of her husband. He's a wonderful man and I miss him already. It's bad.

Is there a Pixie you know you can depend on for some comforting thoughts? (I know DB has been ESPECIALLY good for me)

dicksbro
12-07-2003, 04:20 AM
TY, Steph. A lot of Pixies have been very supportive, but there are a few that have been uncommonly so (yourself included).

It's very heartwarming to feel that sense of closeness, don't you think?

Steph
12-07-2003, 04:22 AM
Yes, we've had a few tragedies, haven't we? I wish I could meet up with some of the Heartland Pixies for a heart-attack inducing breakfast right now :)

What else are you doing as you perv right now?

dicksbro
12-07-2003, 04:25 AM

dicksbro
12-07-2003, 04:59 AM
No, I don't think so. There are several (actually quite a lot) I feel closer to than others; and a few both my wife and I feel close to; but I don't believe that I dislike anyone here.

Is there any you dislike?

rockintime
12-07-2003, 05:05 AM

PantyFanatic
12-07-2003, 10:30 AM
Only by my standard, not theirs. Use to do a few of the junkets that were popular before there was a dog-and-pony show on every other dock around the country. Only one time did I get lucky and hit for a total of $3,700 at two crap tables in less than 3 hours. Spent the rest of the time in the lounge. Was scard to go back. LMAO (they still have more of my $ than I have of theirs.)

What game do you play when you do gamble?

Miles&Cassidy
12-07-2003, 10:36 AM
Craps or texas hold em at the casino. My favorite is still a poker game with friends though.

My sister and I were pretty rough on each other growing up. She was the hitter; I was the clawing kicker. There have been other times when I've *wanted * to punch someone, but the adrenaline rush is usually so strong I burst out in tears instead. Man, I hate that.

What is your favorite sport to play?

LixyChick
12-08-2003, 09:31 AM
I like slow pitch, high arc softball.....but haven't played in years!

What is the most memorable smell of your childhood?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-08-2003, 09:33 AM
Two, actually, I immediately thought of when I read your question: My grandmother, making me fried potatoes, and the honeysuckle we had growing on the fencerow behind/beside our house. They're both very pleasant memories.

Given the choice between sleep and sex, which would you pick most of the time (honestly!)?

LixyChick
12-08-2003, 09:44 AM
Honestly? Sleep! I never seem to get enough....I go to bed tired and I wake tired! Whereas with sex....I get plenty and I'm always satisfied (for 10 minutes or so...lol!

What color best describes your good moods?

IAKaraokeGirl

LixyChick
12-08-2003, 10:25 AM

What do you think of getting a puppy in your Christmas stocking?

dancingrugger
12-08-2003, 10:29 AM
I think that is the sweetest thing in the world, as long as the bottom of the stocking has some sort of plastic in it so its not ruined for next year.

Do you consider yourself too grown up to climb a tree for fun?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-08-2003, 10:30 AM

Miles Davis

Are you a good public speaker?

musicman
12-08-2003, 07:09 PM
nope - hate it...

are you?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-08-2003, 07:56 PM
People say I'm quite good at speaking in front of others, although I'm terrified of it and do much better in more intimate settings. If I feel prepared and confident, though, it's no problem at all.

What is the first thing you do (besides get out of bed) in the morning?

musicman
12-08-2003, 07:58 PM

How comfortable are you in large crowds that don’t have an individual mission?

LixyChick
12-08-2003, 10:12 PM
Not very! Matter of fact.....I hate crowds of ANY kind for ANY reason....(being a tad claustrophobic).....and so going to a concert....or any event in a theatre spectrum (inside)......I get antsy and go to the potty alot (or outside if it's closer). Hubby has gotten used to this through the years.....but tis why we rarely go to a movie.....(and you thought he just hated dating me!...lol!)

When you go camping......do you hold "it" (you know what I mean) the entire trip.....or hang your ass over a log and let your freak flag fly (marking your territory...and scaring the deer away!)?

*OMG..how many nasty questions is a Pixie allowed in one day?*

PantyFanatic
12-09-2003, 12:57 AM
True camping to me is much more than an overnighter. I guess there were more bears in Ohio when I was a kid, but I scared them all over to PA I think. ;) Now that I’m old and spoiled, I even take paper with me most of the time.

Do you enjoy, or have you done, what is now referred to as Wilderness Camping?

dicksbro
12-09-2003, 05:14 AM
Closest I got to wilderness camping was when I was a kids in Boy Scouts. I was in Japan and our American troop and a Japanese troop would go on joint camping trips usually just to open areas (not formal parks or anything). But, I'm not sure I'd call even that wilderness camping.

My wife and kids and I loved tent camping but it was all fairly tame in state or federal parks.

Have you ever owned or rented a motor home for a vacation?

Steph
12-09-2003, 01:58 PM
No but it's a good idea. When I worked in the national park, I'd talk to visitors who had those beautiful Air Stream homes. They had matching cars they towed alongside, satellite TV, microwaves, washers and dryers!

What's your preferred type of vacation - cruise, hiking, staying home, etc.?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-09-2003, 02:22 PM
I like to go places I've not visited before, see both the touristy sites and those off the beaten path. We make it a point not to eat at chain restaurants when we go, and I love staying at mom-and-pop motels, too. You just seem to get more of the feel of an area that way. Thirty states down, twenty to go.

Do you like snow?

dicksbro
12-09-2003, 05:47 PM
I do, except when the roads get slick and icy. The snow a week ago was an especially nice one. :)

Do you need to keep the temperature high or low in your house?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-09-2003, 06:21 PM
Well, I'm pretty warm-natured for the most part, so the heat is set fairly low. I freeze the rest of my family out. :)

Do you eat cereal for breakfast, and what type?

skyler_m
12-09-2003, 06:25 PM
My daughter just started getting into cereal (she's 3)... I've rediscovered how great Lucky Charms are... Even just the cereal without the marshmallows! When I was running a lot, I was eating a lot of granola cereal for breakfast.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-09-2003, 06:30 PM

Sing Opera.

What's your favorite outfit to wear?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-09-2003, 06:34 PM
I have a pair of black pants I'm in love with. Any top will do.

Can you think of one time when you were truly embarassed?

skyler_m
12-09-2003, 06:38 PM
LOL. One time the wife came home from work early... I was masturbating and got caught... sniffing her panties while masturbating... Was initially almost mortified... Then she stripped, laid the panties she'd just taken off on my face and climbed on top of me. Was pretty damn amazing!

What's your favorite food?

kleclere

Steph
12-10-2003, 12:55 AM

Do you give handouts to beggars?

dicksbro
12-10-2003, 06:10 AM
Not usually. Like you, I tend to give to organizations. I did once give some money to a man and his family who were out of gas in an old car trying to get home. Not a lot, but at least a little.

Would you ever help serve food at a food kitchen for the poor?

dancingrugger
12-10-2003, 07:34 AM

Would you ever keep someone's mail that was accidentally delivered to your house?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-10-2003, 07:40 AM
Nope--usually stick it back in the mailbox with a note.

Can you imagine the world without telecommunications?

Steph
12-10-2003, 10:13 AM
No way! I'm sure we've all had convulsions when the power's out :)

What would you give up first if you had to: newspapers, TV, radio or the 'net?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-10-2003, 10:18 AM
TV, most definitely. I usually read the newspaper from start to finish, am addicted to music (obviously) and, well, you know, about the 'net. :D

If you could turn back time, how old would you like to be again, and why?

skyler_m
12-10-2003, 10:36 AM
Honestly, I don't think I would. Although there are some things in my life that I would like to change (for instance, find a job where I am home every night), I wouldn't go back in time to change anything. I have a wonderful wife, an amazing 3 year old daughter, another baby on the way... I wouldn't want anything to impact that.

If you couldn't get on the internet for a month, what would you do to fill that time?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-10-2003, 10:56 AM
Hopefully I would be spending it with the man who drives me crazy in wild, uninhibited, sexual adventures. ;)

Do you make your bed every morning?

PantyFanatic
12-10-2003, 11:14 AM
YES! Before I take a step away from it.

When you get around to cleaning more than the standard dust & sweep, do you find yourself scrubbing something that's embarrassing even though you are the only one that knows about it? :o

Sharni
12-10-2003, 01:36 PM
Can't say that i've ever had to scrub something embarrasing :D

Tell me about your most embarrassing moment

skyler_m
12-10-2003, 01:55 PM
Sharni - IAKG asked that yesterday. Here was my answer:

LOne time the wife came home from work early... I was masturbating and got caught... sniffing her panties while masturbating... Was initially almost mortified... Then she stripped, laid the panties she'd just taken off on my face and climbed on top of me. Was pretty damn amazing!

What would be your ideal job?

PantyFanatic
12-10-2003, 02:49 PM
Personnel Manger in a whorehouse. :p

How much do you smoke each day if you do have the nasty habit?

(perhaps I should have said “surprised” Sharni. I meant something that became cruddier than you ever thought or would want anybody to know about)

dicksbro
12-10-2003, 03:47 PM
It would be a volunteer job ... making love to my wife. :D

What would be your ideal "for pay" job?

musicman
12-10-2003, 06:55 PM

dicksbro
12-10-2003, 10:24 PM
Probably on my neck ... leaving out oral sex, of course, which isn't exactly kissing. :)

If you could make love anywhere, where would you want that to be?

IAKaraokeGirl
12-10-2003, 10:28 PM
On the finish line at Churchill Downs. Derby Day would be preferable.

No, just kidding. :)

I'd love to spend a couple of weeks alone with my someone special in a cabin the mountains...no clocks to worry about...just time to devote to each other.

Can you wiggle your ears?

skyler_m
12-10-2003, 10:29 PM
Yes. as long as i use my fingers to do it.

Can you turn your tongue in a circle?

dicksbro
12-10-2003, 10:30 PM
Only using my hands. :D

Can you touch your nose with your tongue?

skyler_m
12-10-2003, 10:30 PM

What is the longest you ever had the same pet and what was it?

Steph
12-11-2003, 02:19 AM
(knocks on wood for luck) I've had Solon for almost nine years now. He's a wonderful old Lab and I see him aging now. We also looked after an old Springer Spaniel every summer when his family went to Ireland. Him and I were very attached and he was put to sleep when I was 14. I guess they had him since I could remember - I was three or four. When they made the appointment in the fall, his owners had to come get him from me. Him and I went everywhere together. I even wrote a song when he died. Sure, it was to the tune of "St. Elmos' Fire" but the thought was there!

What is the longest you ever had the same pet and what was it?

dicksbro
12-11-2003, 05:47 AM
Probably our cat, Pokey. His mommy brought him to us when he was a baby (that's the truth ... she stayed for a few weeks, then left with Pokey still with us). We had him about seven years before he died. Still miss the little guy. :(

Tolkien

Do you wear glasses/contacts?

PantyFanatic
12-12-2003, 11:31 PM
With “fascinating” being the key word, one of the individuals that I know more than fable about is Jacques-Yves Cousteau. (1910-1997) His total life involvement and dedication to his curiosity was never diverted by the realities of precedence, business, faineances, international politics or hazard. From being a tinkerier and inventor of SCUBA itself in his twenties, to working through and past the worst of cold-war restrictions and borders, he remained the head of a focused purpose to explore the truly unknown that is all around us. He turned the need for sponsorship and underwriting into his greatest ability to communicate and relate to the masses. Very fascinating person to me. The motto on the Calypso's (his ship) was "We must go and see for ourselves"

How can you stand the tripe on TV today after knowing of people like Carver, Cousteau, Gandhi, Goodall, Kepler,..........?? LMAO

Having gone to only my 10th and 25th class reunion and I’ll wait for the half century reunion when it’ll be better attended as most of them will be out by then.
