I know you were just tossing out "Desperate Housewives" as a flippant example but to me, that show is a symbol of "middle" America.
That show allows people to eavesdrop on those who are acting on impulse. Ooh, how scandalous! People in real life would never act that way!
I've been following the Gannon story since before it became a story because "The Daily Show" made fun of that question he asked:
"How are you going to work with people who seem to have divorced themselves from reality?"
These are the questions Bush allows & welcomes.
They're the only ones he answers.
Bush may be the leader but he's surely not a statesman.
And my goodness, Bush won't allow gays to marry but he'll allow the enterprising ones with Web sites to pander to him.
