That's the point for me. I'm not greedy. I just want to start the rat race over with a slight advantage.
Now with good planning, as little as 800,000 could set me for life.

Damn!!!!! I knew I forgot to do something today! This reminds me that I meant to pick up a lottery ticket today! My s/o just closed on a new house and we could really use the $$$$$$$$....I would so love to give him a big chunk of change to pay off the house and get his dream workshop up and running. And you can't win if you don't play Well now I will just have to hope nobody wins so the pot can grow for Saturdays drawing.

Finally got Powerball here last week...I could do with $125 mill, but I'd settle for the 100 grand for just matching the 5 numbers w/o the Ball...see, that's enough to tide me over for awhile w/o hqaving to hide out from every asshole who ever thought he knew me way back when...

Yeah, around here, most houses go for between 85k and 125k, for a decent mid-range house. To buy land, we could likely get 2-3 acres for about 10k, and the house itself, we could have a 3-4 bedroom built for around 130-150, depending on materials.
