Nice! Whatcha get? Oh...also, I saw your doppelganger at the fabric store today. I had to look twice. It was uncanny.
People complimenting my skirt today. I'm learning to sew and it is my first completed project. I just finished it last night.

I love going to the fabric store. I don't sew well but I like looking at all the doodads. Love to see your cute skirt.
Got Mr. Lil a Nissan Altima. All our vehicles are 10 years plus old so will be nice for him.

I drove an Altima for 10 years. It was a great car. Just watch out for those concrete curbs and parking bumpers; they like to rip the Altima front fender off.
I'm a noob at sewing, so I'm delighted that this one was actually wearable when I was done. Projects done in my youth were not so lucky. Pic attached, although the drawstring ribbon is now red. I changed it this afternoon after realizing I'd bought crappy, cheap ribbon the first time. Learning!

Lil, I realize you don't have to worry about this yet, but watch out when buying replacement parts for your Altima. Nissans are notorious for not liking after market.
AZ, great attempt/success.

Great job. I have sewn a dress, some board shorts for kids, and some elastic waist skirts before but nothing as cute as that. Really cute AZ

Thanks, Lil. And Lord Snow.
It's from a book called Sew What Skirts. You make your own pattern from your measurements. This was the first (and easiest) one in the book.

Seeing my little puppy deal with the crowd of 9 loud people by laying there and chilling, her deal with a hissing cat that's 3x her size by walking away, and she's actually starting to learn stairs.
