You know I have my family, my work, Pixies and now a project away from Pixies that pretty much makes up my life at this point. I have seven days before the beginning of a long term effort that is very separate from the other important points of my life and has odds of minimal success for me, but it gives a little purpose and something to actively work for with my life's convictions that were defended, spent believing in and maybe wasted on. I can contribute a little financially, bring an accumulation of extreme experience and satisfaction that I'm giving it it's deserve. We all have to be somewhere and have something to do.

OrliF COMPLAIN ALL YOUR LIKE!!
it's a FREE country go ahead Hun.. the fact that no one gives a dam about us little folk is another story.

I have to say from Gov experience (don’t ask i wont tell) all i can say IS that this is all a waste of MONEY and time.. it's trying to make more problems by monitoring then actually dealing with the problem... similar to the law if a robber breaks into your house and you whack the prick on the head.. he can charge you... WTF!!!

really all they are is making up excuses.. BUT i think by now the world knows that the Big Brothers (so to speak) ARE WATCHING!!!

Oh i forgot to add.. i would bring back the eye for eye method.. if they are caught being a pedoF then cut their eyeballs out and then lets see what they will do with themselves...

Red face

I know alot of single a coupled people who love to watch porn there right will be taken away my partner on the odd occasion likes to watch it.. I have no issues with people watching for 'recreational use ' but where is the government going to stop that fine line and find out who is abusing the system? In my opinion the government need to re think this.. Yes it's a great idea but I do see the potential for alot of floors.. What about doctors who need to look up breast cancer or students who are needing some info for sex ed, are thye going to ban all of that also?
Even if they do put this into place.. what is to stop people from still doing it? Why aren't they putting time and money into going to countries where the child porn is happening and stopping it that way.. Banning it from the net will not stop the actions from happening, just because people are not watching it does not mean it's not happening..

I mean what is to stop a pedophile from going to the park and kidnapping a young child nothing!!! The net is only a small thing compared to what's in the outside world..

As Orli said they do get a trial here but it's not a fair trial most of them get there sentance and are out on paroll in the next 3-5yrs why not lock them up for life and make them suffer in there 2x4 cells..

Here in my state those kinds of criminals are usually up for capital punishment, meaning they are up for life in prison. Rarely do they get convicted of that. My last case the guy ended up with 15 years per offense he was charged with. One thing here that happens though is that the guy was declared a sexual predator and with that stipulation he is forbidden to ever buy or possess pornography.

The thing I love about Austrlia is that with everyone voting, as opposed to the usual poll goers in the US, you stand a better chance of seeing that your wishes are carried out.

Good luck!

I never said I have a problem with you complaining. I never said you couldn't complain. I was also unaware of the fact that you have done something besides complain. I'm sorry for any misunderstanding Orli. I was just trying to point out that quite a few people complain about the problem, then do nothing about it but complain. I was also trying to point out that if you felt that strongly about it, you should do something about it. So again, I apologize for any misunderstandings.

It's a law for lazy parents. Once you've given up one little bit of freedom, it becomes easier to give up more - that's the scary part.

This is a ridiculous attempt at totalitarianism.

Here's the link to Senator Conroy. Give him a blast.

Well we never gave up the freedom to begin with. The gov'ment just decided to do it out of the blue. However it needs to pass the bill first. That means they need to vote on it.......

The government has a history of doing things against the wishes of the people in "our long-term best interests". Trouble is that there is a part of one percent of the population that can always be used as a justification.
