Not really "textbook" sad so much as "disappointed" sad.
On the subway ride into work today I had the unsavory misfortune to sit across from this sad sack-looking IR couple who both looked like they were reformed drug addicts or something. For some reason or another the woman was all over the guy like a giddy little schoolgirl, but they had to be well into their late forties. The PDA didn't bother me so much as her annoying, cooing voice. The guy had been eating butterscotch ice cream and the woman was drinking coffee, maybe. What eventually made me sad was when they finished and the woman just stuffed the empties into each other and threw it underneath the seat without a second thought as if it's the most natural thing in the world.
Everytime I see grown adults who should know better littering like that it gets me depressed. Kids can be excused and then taught, but...it shows the laziness and contempt of the people doing it for their surroundings. And in this city I see it quite often. I never will forget the time I saw this guy standing right next to me finish a Snapple ice tea, put it in a paper bag and then toss it onto the tracks.

I loved the Snowbird show at Dayton 2003.
It's sad that something as mundane could do so much harm.
"I've got a blow-out in vapour3. Pitch is out I can't hold it. Capcom I can't hold it she's breaking up, she's breaking up!" has so much more going for it.
I just hope elements in the RCAF who have seen the Snowbirds as an inefficient use of scarce resources can't use it to ground the team.

I almost chuckled at your comparison to a seatbelt malfunction to a blow-out in vapour3. It is ridiculous. A seatbelt! That they knew about!
I don't think there's been too much talk about grounding them, fortunately.
I just left the site and am reading the NY Times. An article with this line did not lift my mood: The World Health Organization estimates that 4.8 million people a year with moderate to severe cancer pain receive no appropriate treatment.

I think the Republican party and your president should lose the election for their "actions" during Hurricane Katrina.
I know some people *cough* had something to say when Canada decided not to join the "war" in Iraq.
I'm watching Spike Lee's documentary on Hurricane Katrina right now (in fact I booted up the computer just to post this).
A parish president is telling them how the Royal Canadian Mounted Police came in to help.
The NO resident said, "How the hell did you get here?"
He said, "I came across the ferry."
The parish president then asked, "Where was the federal government?"

It seems as if everyone believes what they want to believe!I saw an interview,on TV,the other day(Don't know, what network)that my wife had on when I came inside. They were interviewing a woman, who was mandatorily
evacuated,to Texas,during the hurricane.When she & her elderly husband
returned, she found that her home had been foreclosed on.She contacted the foreclosure co,explained the circumstances,& asked if they could catch up on the mortgage payments, because they weren't there to make the payments.
She was told "NO" & the foreclosure was going on.One of the major cotributors,to the co(& their lawyer) was John Edwards.Wether this is true or
not,I don't know & haven't checked out. It's just like people say an election
was" fixed" unless their side won!Anyway the question was what made you sad not who did wrong or right! Irish
P.S.As priviously said,everyone has different views on Politics,religion,etc &
they should not be discussed. One side ALWAYS finds fault with the other!

And other nationalities don't have the option of belonging to Pixies?
I greatly admire the Canadians who fought for me. And Canada (as well as other Commonwealth countries) has Remembrance Day, a day on which we remember the sacrifices made for us during wars.
Why don't you create a forum where no one could reply to your posts? Wouldn't that be the ideal, really?

Almost a year ago, I met a good man off of a internet dating site. He's nothing to look at, but he is a really good man. He lives in the next state, but we try to get together every three months. He is a great father figure to my daughter who has never met her's before. We have a wonderful time together when we are together and do alot of family activities. About 2 months ago, he told me that he doesn't see us having a permanent relationship together. He says that some of my ways are not to his liking. (like watching TV in the bedroom). We are still friends and still do things together.
