Hey, does anybody happen to know if it's really bad if a blood clot comes out of the site of a removed wisdom tooth 6 days after the operation? Just happened to me as I was rinsing my mouth out.

Is my oral surgeon gonna be pissed at me tomorrow?

It is only natural to lose a clot. Just be extra careful when eating and making sure you get all the food bits out when you rinse.

If it's not bleeding now I wouldn't be too concerned. I'd read the 'clot' as a scab that formed in a constantly moist location, and if so, is SHOULD be gone. How does it feel? I'd just watch for anything that looks different and if it isn't bothering you, save the $.25 call and the $25.00 consultation.

Well, this is really the first time I've had any pain at all since it was done last Friday other than my jaw being a bit stiff. (Oh man, I'm gonna wish I hadn't just typed that.)

It's not bleeding though. Hmmmm, I do believe I need to have some Pixie ladies come check it out for me to make sure.
