Probably golf. I used to play, but never got good enough to keep it up; and the game got to expensive not to take it more seriously. Oh well.

Usually at Christmas we see most of the family a few days before or after so they can celebrate with their own direct families; but Thanksgiving, we generally get together on Thanksgiving Day.

New Years Eve ... with family or friends?

Family and friends. Since about 1966, we've gotten together every year with family and friends on New Year's Eve. Everybody brings stuff to share and we spend the evening playing "parlor games" or whatever until midnight.

Train. Haven't actually taken one for a vacation trip, but it's something my wife and I would love to do.

I'd love to go to San Diego!
