Gas brands (for whatever reason): Major brands or Discount brands?

I've never really noticed a lot of difference between what I would buy at say a BP station or what I would get at a convenience store so I'll go with whichever is cheapest.

I usually put additives in the tank to help the performance anyway. Probably a waste of $$$ but I've always had that habit.
