My Birthday - A Fantasy

1. Today was the last day of VBS.

2. I bought everything I need for vacation and started packing.

3. I had the most fun I have had in a very long time tonight having a water gun war with all of the VBS kids.

1) I had an exceptionally good day.

2) A parent who was once really really upset with me, hugged me tonight 4 years later and told me she had followed through on some suggestions and her child is doing better.

3) I went out with Summer and we giggled and talked about boys.

1. I'm up far too early to get my dog to the groomer's.
2. I've spent two days at a friend's house finishing my hair colouring so the front matches the back. I am now platinum blonde.
3. I'm leaving for Newfoundland tomorrow!!!!

1) I feel decadent that I took a vacation day in the middle of the week yesterday and did nothing with any responsibility all day long (except keep an eye on my children, of course).

2) I'm trying to work out the logistics of my son's birthday party next weekend, getting people here from out of town, etc. I'm keeping my fingers crossed everything goes smoothly.

3) After nine months, I finally reminded one of my bosses that I hadn't had my review yet...from 2002.

1) I am in the dog house today.

See, I went and played golf yesterday after work, didn't finish up until 8:30pm (it is still light here until then) and then went and had dinner/drinks with the guys. All of that wasn't the problem...strolling in at midnight was.

2) I tried to make up for things by offering a heartfelt apology and fixing a super breakfast for Mrs R. ....waffles from scratch, sausages, fresh OJ, and Starbucks coffee. I think it helped even though she's still mad. Hopefully by lunch things will be OK.

3) My little 4 year old boy came up to me this morning, gave me a big hug and kiss, and told me he loved me very much.

1. Have plans today to go to the waterpark and see if I can keep my somewhat still pink body from getting totally fried.

2. Woke up very early and walked down about a half-mile to the grocery to get some milk--everything was so peaceful then.

3. Get to drive for an hour and a half to meet friends tonight to retrieve my son's birthday present he left at their house--a long drive but worth it.

1) I have come to terms with the fact that I can't be responsible for everyone's happiness at work, and that it's ok that I took steps to ensure mine.

2) I still miss the love of my life, can't wait 'til Thursday.

3) I find my favorite hobbies less fun when they suddenly develop deadlines.

1) I have a long drive ahead of me today but my brother has driven from Texas and will follow me. He thinks he is protecting me and I think I am gonna help keep him awake
