Hmmm. Places I hate to change the bulbs often or have to leave them on for long periods of time (days?) ... fluorescent. But for rooms, I guess I still like incandescent lights.

Both are great … dogs because of their closeness and playfulness with people … and cats because they can often fend for themselves for several days if their owners are gone and their general neatness. My wife and I have tended towards cats, but my brother and I always had dogs as we were growing up.

We're more of a cat family. My brother and I had dogs as kids … but my wife tended to be more of a cat person. They do have some advantages … like not needing to "go for walks" in -20F weather.
