Simon Wiesenthal, the well known Nazi-hunter has died in Vienna. He was 96 years old.

Due to his efforts, more than 1,000 WWII war criminals were brought to trial. Controversially, he did not support the World Jewish Congress’ allegations that Kurt Waldheim had assisted in the deportation of Jews during the war.
