I used to do tech support for extended warranties on computers--if you had something wrong, we figured out if it was hardware, and fixed it if it was. For software, you had to go to the source.
I never called it myself, but for you Mac users out there, it's important to remember that it is indeed the letter "O" in 800-SOS-Apple, not a zero. That *does* make a difference, I learned.
