scented toys
I recently bought my girlfiend a penis-shaped vibrator and it has a scent to it. She thinks it smells like roses. Anyway, the smell is VERY strong, and it isn't going away. It makes my whole room smell if I leave it out in the open. I had to put it in a ziplock bag just to conceal the odor! Is there any way to get rid of this obnoxious fragrance???? Washing it didn't help. I figured it would go away over time, but I was wrong. She really likes it, but we can't stand the smell. Any ideas besides getting a different one????

Do you still have the packaging?
I don't recall ever seeing scented toys but I'm no expert . . .

I recently bought a toy from Xandria, and was very glad that they have a no questions return policy because the penis-shaped vibrator that I ordered also had a very strong scent of baby oil to it, which made me nauseous, even after I had washed it about 20 times! I couldn't find anything that would take away the smell either, so I ended up returning it. Still trying to find something to take its place!

I bought a silicone dildo from GoodVibes.com once that smelled like the deoderizer in a public bathroom. The smell made me sick, too. I talked by phone to someone there and learned that that smell was quite typical of the dildoes they purchased from a particular manufacturer--not all of the silicone dildoes they sell but just ones from that manufacturer. They allowed me to return it, but it made me leery of ever buy another silicone toy. I imagine that it was an exception, but I figure that silicone toys are too expensive for me to pay the money and discover that I just bought another "smelly" product. Well, at least, I won't buy one on line or through a paper catalog.
