Kids Need to Keep Personal Information Private
KABC LOCAL NEWS
On Wednesday, Representative Loretta Sanchez presented the Santa Ana Police Department with a $100,000 federal grant award for the MISSING Internet safety program to teach children to recognize online predators.
Some children also received a demonstration of the multimedia computer game MISSING, which is designed to show students how predators use the Internet to target and lure children away from home.
In a survey of children taken three months after they played MISSING, 79.8 percent of the kids said they kept their commitment to keep all personal information private while using the Internet.
