Ladies who shave it ALL off...
I know this is a lot like the men's topic trim/shave, but this thread is for women only (of course men are still allowed to make comments). I have been shaving for a while and I STILL can't get it right. My main problem is razor burn and lack of flexibility :redghost: lol. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sharp razor (one of those 3 blade ones work best), use conditioner instead of gel/soap, Shave WITH the hair, make sure your conditioner, water, and razor are warm(so the cold doesn't give goosebumps!) no lotion afterwards...... baby oil works better and it's not as painful..... thats all I have.

I agree with bama, the s/o uses my mach 3 and it works great, however she uses my vitamin e enriched aloe infused shaving gel rather than conditioner or soaps. Always make sure that you soak your hair in as hot as possible water first to soften the hair, makes for easier shaving. As for lotions afterward anything alcohol free & scent free preferably aloe or vitamin E enriched will not sting and will soften the skin. Have fun

yes they do mean ordinary hair conditioner Patow.
And Bama is absolutely right about shaving WITH the direction of the hair... at least for a few weeks until your body is used to it, and can handle going against the grain.
Don't shave every day at first, maybe every third or fourth, and then every second or third day, before finally everyday.
hope this helps!

I shave every morning - it leaves my face smooth and gentle for a few hours. If I knew of a reliable way not to shave and still stay clean, I'd vote for it.
I LOVE sliding up and down a smooth wet furrow but if it is hairy or (God forbid) covered in stubble, I can't do it for long. So Milady used depilatory cream about once a week or so. She is not only super smooth afterwards, but the regrowth is fine and delicate and no problem at all.
But the good news is the modern retardant creams that inhibit the regrowth. Rubbed in regularly they slow the regrowth down dramatically and, after a longer period of use, the regrowth is definitely finer and softer. Like baby hair, and the effect is permanent or very long lasting.
I can't imagine why anyone would prefer shaving, and I'm only sliding up and down a five-day old furrow if you ask me very nicely.

I've been doing a mixture of waxing and shaving depending how brave and pain resistant I feel for the past couple of years. But those retardant creams sound good, pity you can't get a fast reacting one for Christmas!

I don't shave it ALL off, I prefer just to be trimmed.
Definitely don't like to be hairy!

Does anyone else get into phases where they just don't want to shave it? Some weeks, it's all I can do to get in the shower, let alone shave everywhere! It's winter, I let my legs go. It might gross guys out (it grosses Tyler out but God, that's several feet I'm shaving every day or so!!!) but I'm usually wearing pants.
On topic, I love Nair. It's quick and easy.

Just recently started shaving there, and I definitely have the problem of getting razor burn. I have found that an electric razor that I have had for years but never used (doesn't get close enough on my legs) works wonders! No risk of nicks, flexibility is not a problem, you don't even have to watch what your doing, and it is just close enough to feel smooth. I don't like how it works on the pubic bone area so I use a regular old razor there.

YES! Years of being single, made me want an excuse to shave! And thankfully now I have it.

Just curious
Just curious here, but doesn't Nair sting or burn?? I would think that it would, being such a sensitive area and all....
I just use a razor and the only thing that I have found to work is not shaving cream, but children's bubble bath. It is not as harsh as soap and gives me a nice smooth shave.
I enjoy being completely shaved but it is a bit of a pain at times. I have been doing it for about a year and the most I can shave is every other day. If I try everyday, it gets really irritated.
So for one day I am super smooth and the next day I have slight stubble!!
