Uhm... I suggest taking pics for us to look at so we can give you our unbiased opinions if shaving is really that necessary...

LOL. Yes, we're here. In my first pregnancy, I didn't even *attempt* it. In my second, I tried...but I'm not sure about my success. You could always see about waxing, although I'm a little afraid of pain myself. Best of luck, no matter what you decide to do, though, and especially on the pregnancy.

Or try sitting on the floor or in the tub with one propped up in front of you.

FYI as far as Waxing goes.....
I know this isn't about shaving, but more an observation in response to KaraokeGirl's idea. I just waxed my prego wife's bikini line yesterday. The hair sure seems to grow faster since she's been preggers! I usually do it for her, as it's just easier to do and I don't mind inflicting a little pain when I can! We normally clipper the hair fairly short, apply baby powder, apply wax and RIPPPPPPPP! Anyway, it was definitely more difficult this time around. Her belly isn't as flat as it was 5 months ago, so that was funky and I had to be more careful about pressing on her belly in general. But as far as pain goes, she didn't really seem to mind it as much this time. Maybe those labor endorphins are kicking in already! All in all though, I think we agreed that she would have to shave while pregnant as the waxing was just to much to bother with. Since she just neatens up her patch and doesn't go smooth, it's not as much of an issue.
Good luck with the pregnancy Wyndhy!

congrats on hubby helping you, wyndhy. I had to do that for my wife, too. Interestingly enough, when you were writing the first post to this thread, my wife was in the midst of labor and our son was born just after.
