				 Scooter Man?
I just watch "Insomniac w/Dave Attel" on Comedy Central, and he was in London and he was talking to a company called "Scooter Man". aparantly its like a cab service that picks you up and drives you home in your own car....for those of you who live in London, or near, is this for real? and is it expensive? let me know cuz i think its a great idea |

	| I've never seen this "for real", but I have read about it; basically what you described is correct... the driver has a micro-scooter that folds up small enough to fit in the boot (trunk) of your car; he'll pick your drunk self up from whatever pub/club/restaurant you're at and drive you home in your own car! Then he just gets on his scooter and goes to his next job!! And as I recall it's not TOO expensive.... price of a normal cab fare plus £10-15 (maybe $20 or so) worth it to keep your license huh?
 Hope this helps

	| I've seen a bit of a TV program about this and it's a very good idea. the idea is that you drive out somewhere and get as drunk as you like then you call the company and they send a guy out on a little foldup scooter who drives you back home in your own car..... when you get home he grabs his scooter out the back of the car, it's even sealed in a bag to stop i dirtying your car!.... and goes off to his next job.
Here's their website !

	| What a cool idea! Some entrepreneurs in the US should get wind of this and start it up!

Wouldn't happen. The insurance companies would sue it to death
As far as I know, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but policies are written per driver and per vehicle.
If I were not to use my car to travel around between sites at work, but a "company vehicle" they would have to get out a policy to cover me on all vehicles registered to them (or at least the one or two they'd let me use).
So I doubt this is likely to happen because of being too cost prohibitive. |

	| We have something like that in Syracuse..... Its called SMART...... You have to pay to be a member but you get a number to call if your trashed somewhere and they send a car to bring you home...... but yours stays.... SO when you wake with that massive hangover, all you have to do is remember which bar you left it at and call a friend to drop you off...... Oh I suppose you must also have to remember where you threw the keys after you got inside the house......lol I usually leave them in the lock!!!!! |
