Another tip I learned the hard way: Both baking powder and baking soda can be used in a recipe calling for baking powder. However, soda won't brown like powder will, so it makes the cookies look like they're not done yet. ![Rolleyes](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif) You can sit there for 40 minutes wondering just why your cookies look like they're dough still, until they smell burnt. Yeah, it helps to grab the right one. ![Wink](images/smilies/wink.gif)
