Interesting question. I was talking with someone oh Yahoo just yesterday, and we were discussing things that turn people on. I talked about something and she couldn't understand why it turned me on. She was curious and wanted to know exactly why it was arousing to me. How can I answer that?

Why does something turn you on? Genetic predisposition? Nature vs. Nurture? I'm sure someone with a psych background might be able to give a better reason. All I know is that it really isn't bad to like things that aren't really mainstream.
