For a Brit (born in Eltham, England) he was a great American (his family moved to Ohio when he was six).

I have seen many of his movies, skits, and other performances (including taped broadcasts of his many wonderful USO perfromances) and they were all of the good kind of entertainment that this country so desperately needs more of.

He will truly be missed.
