You'd think that people so "bottom line" oriented wouldn't mind their employees also thinking about bottoms. Just no fun at all.

There IS a point, or maybe it's a fine line, that businesses need to remember, that happy employees, employees who perceive that they're cared about, will become MORE productive and *gasp* LOYAL. Even in education that's been widely forgotten. I think the 'grunt' workers are just seen as a buyable commodity these days.
