Thanks gg. Yeah, it was a bit of a wrench, but we figured it was his time; quality of life was only going one way and it was a peaceful end.
The Big Yin is tripping over his own feet a bit more than he was, but otherwise seems OK for now. Amazingly, after well over 14 years where they were barely apart, he seems neither up nor down about the wee one not being here anymore. We thought he'd be pining like crazy - maybe him being there too was a help? Who knows.
