74F and partly cloudy at 10:20pm (Fri). Saturday's high is expected to be 85F but with thunderstorms. Oh well, I guess a little rain falls on everyone … and, our grass is stilll green but showing just a tad bit of restraint in growing. We've been pretty dry for a while now. Corn is really shooting up after our worrying that it was getting almost too late to get the crop in. Probably won't be a record year, but at least not the horrible failure that we were concerned about. Soybeans, too, and springing up pretty well.

We'll keep hoping.
