1) Back from Palo Alto on a redeye last night. Slept the whole way.

2) My faith in the honesty of people got a recent lift: I left my Kindle on a flight into Washington Dulles and thought I'd never see it again. Three days letter I received a note telling me that United was holding it for me.

3) Received a nice note this week from my ex-girlfriend. We're just friends now but understand each other more deeply than most others because of our prior intimacy.
