I know it's going to seem odd to all those to the north of me, but...
Today we got our first snowfall of any significance for the season. Had a fair dusting beginning Tuesday night (starting right after rush hour, thank goodness), coupled with dropping temps to ice up the streets just in time to fuckup the morning commute. Anchor girl on the morning news show was stranded for 5 hrs, literally reporting in on her cell phone as she made her way in from just across the KY-TN state line. Skies & streets cleared up by 9am, so when dispatch called all drivers in to work, I didn't think twice...then I was hit repeatedly with patches of the heaviest, most blinding snow I've ever seen in our temperate/subtropical borderline part of the world as I made my way about the city. Visibility was down to about two hundred yards at one point whilst I was carrying a rush medical specimin from one side of town to the other. Weird weather this year, indeed...
