( In the US, consumers have been near apoplectic as petrol (or gasoline) prices have hit the unheard of heights of $3 a gallon. That's the equivalent of roughly 40p a litre.
In the UK, we're now pretty much used to paying more than £1 a litre. That's the kind of level that would cause a revolution in the States.
