Recovering from the loss of our faithful companion, Boone. He was a Black and Tan coonhound that we rescued a few years back. Being a scent hound, he could sense well before hand any seizures my wife was about to have. He would then push her to a chair and force her to sit until it passed. If a chair wan't handy, he would lean her against a wall or object and use his weight, 118 lbs, to keep her from falling. During her chemo, he was there to greet her when she returned from treatments, laying beside her and letting her hold his tail for security. He was my companion while sitting at the computer or watching TV. Ever vigilant, ever loving...So long Boone, you were a blessed soul. I'll see you at Rainbow Bridge and we'll cross together.
