Sounds like a Bertoia to me. We make them at my work. Pretty pricey actually. It's a Knoll piece.

Do you mean Bertoia? We never pad the back so I might be mistaken. If it is similar, but not an exact match, just Google Bertoia and check out the whole line.

P.S. I have a bar stool. It was a "throw away" when our company moved to another building. Wish I could get a set of the chairs but even I would spend a fortune on them.
