- It appears that my first winter by myself in small town Iowa away from immediate medical attention is now over. Can't say it was all that easy for me but I am happy to say that the game of life appears to have slowed down for me now and as I look around I see that I am still winning. Won't live to be eight years old my ass!

- I'm hoping my weekend plans for a trip to South Bend, Indiana haven't been cancelled but I haven't heard from my best friend to confirm that we're still on for the weekend. Then again, he is a CPA and this is sort of a busy time of the year for him.

- Still happy as can be that the work on the house is progressing nicely.
