When does school year start?
Early to Mid August

When does school year finish?
Usually the last of June

What are the school hours?
We go from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

What holidays do you have? Start and finish?
Sept 5-Labor Day
Nov 23-25-Thanksgiving
Dec 21-Jan3- Christmas holidays
Mar 13-17-Spring Break
Then there are a few days for Teacher Workdays and Bad Weather days too.

What grades are in your Elementary schools? (is that what ya call junior?)
Pre-K (not mandatory)-5 grade=Elementary
6-8 grades=Junior High


What grades are in your High schools?
9-12 grades= High School

Do all US states have the same above things?
No, Each district in each state have their own schedules but the grades are similar. The only difference is pre k.

How old are children when they start school?
Pre K here is 4 yrs of age by August 1. But to start kindergarden they must be 5 yrs old.

Do you have Kindergarten or Preschool?
This school district has a voluntary pre-k. You sign up and they go type thing. Kindergarten is mandatory. You can send your child to a Preschool of your choosing if you want to pay for it. But all you have to do at this district is purchase the supplies. But it goes for only half a day.
