Quite an achievement, which has been mostly overlooked by the population of this planet:

Quite a remarkable achievement. And another is that Voyager 2 has now reached interplanetary space and it still totally functioning. Voyager 1 made it several years ago but with a key instrument not functioning it was unable to confirm the changes as it crossed this threshold and left the domain of our sun.
