He was such a good running back
OJ Simpson was found guilty on 12 charges of armed robbery, conspiracy to kidnap and assault with a deadly weapon by a court in Las Vegas.
A sad end for a Football Hall of Famer. |
It's about fucking time.

I hope he's always freshly squeezed.

Wouldn't that just be "the pits" to be squeezed like that every morning? :p
|
Truth be told, he will be treated like football royalty. Nothing like being surrounded by your fans 24/7.
|
Unfortunately, that's probably true.

OJ,OJ,OJ, What have you done? Didn't you realize there are no golf courses in prison? 12 counts,or was it 13? Does it matter? Truth is,you will probably be the breakfast choice of murders, rapists, and all manner of scum of the earth. Fresh squeased every morning. If you do get parolled in 25 years, you'll be 86 years old and probably do something else stooopid and land right back in prison. I can just see it,when you meet your new cell mate for the first time. Hey, aren't you Robert Blake? What do they got you in for? I was on the south side of the freeway trying to get to my paretns house.Somewhere between Sunset and Wilshire I stopped in traffic.People were sitting on top of their vans just to see you ride by in your Bronco.Cheers fo a former hero. But that was then. Ass hole.......

Karma's a bitch, ain't it?

So there is no doubt, I believe that his first verdict 13 years ago will go down in history as one of the greatest miscarriages of justice that there has ever been. I don't doubt for a minute that he is responsible for those brutal murders.
That being said, I have great misgivings about the recent verdict. I have no doubt that there is plenty of legitimate grounds for appeal on his behalf. The fact that there was no black jurors (even tho clark county is 10% black) will allow his attorneys to claim that there was a racial imbalance thus he was not convicted by his peers. More importantly, the fact that the jury deliberated far longer on a friday night than they normally would have been expected to, ironically the 13th anniversary of the aquital. This gives the attorneys the ability to claim that this verdict was in part a move of revenge. Is anyone concerned about the justice system? You can't be tried for the same crime twice. Although he hasn't been technically charged or tried twice, his attorneys are going to claim that he has been judged twice based on that first crime. Personally, I hope the man suffers a long drawn out painful death behind bars. However that doesn't mean that I don't have real concerns about how this will impact our (already corupt) judicial system Just my opinion. |
Yes his reputation proceeded him. These were a set of completely different crimes. He was not tried twice for the same crimes. It's a shame he is an infamous criminal but so have others been throughout history.
