Lingerie gripe

So I decide to splurge with a b-day coupon I got and buy some new flirty and flimsy duds for doing the deed, right? They arrived, and tonight I finally tried them on. And the ensemble fits, and it's mostly cute, but 'splain me this one:

Why would a teddy I bought at Torrid, a clothing company that caters to the ample woman with attitude, have ZERO support for the girls up top? One of the nice things about BEING an ample woman is that you're almost guaranteed (but not absolutely guaranteed) ample bosoms as well. To put it bluntly, most big girls have big tits, and if you're a clothing shop catering to big girls, why would you sell me something that results in my nipples slipping below the bra cup and heading at warp speed towards my navel in that oh-so-hot National Geographic look? That does not make me feel sexy. It makes me feel silly which is not, incidentally, what I was going for. I have enough trouble feeling like I'm sexy; why is lingerie that is supposed to help me with that just making it worse??? Do they really think that's the way to get me to spend more of my money with them?

Anybody else have this problem? I could use some support. (Pun intended.) :D

Damn, if I could sew, I would revolutionize the plus-size clothing industry. There is so much nonsensical stuff going on there. Like spaghetti strap tank tops without built-in bras for busty women. What's that about? I'm 36 years old; I don't show my bra straps except for the occasional slippage, so it's not like I'm going to wear a normal bra with a spaghetti strap top. I tell ya, it's maddening.

I've seen your pics and you are sexy! :hot: :slurp: as for the clothing I can't respond without seeing more pics :)

Being larger than life myself I hear ya sister. I'm not all that ample up top but I do need the extra attention to details to keep them in a faux upward position. Can't they help us create the illusion of perkiness?????

Well, I could offer to come help hold up your breasts, but that would involve me moving to Arizona.

Well, you know, that was on my mind when I bought the outfit, but now feeling as I am about the top part, I'm not sure it's pic-worthy. I'll have to figure something out. :)

AZ we should both design for the ample woman. i am 40ddd and can't always find lingerie that fits my chest.

AZRedHot 12-08-2007 05:57 PM

Is it really so hard to put a pretty, functional bra on top with the sheer stuff on bottom? Cleavage is a beautiful thing. And gravity is unkind! :p

Rhiannon 12-08-2007 06:55 PM

Yes gravity is definitely a curse. honesly my hubby has found a couple tat i like..Try instead of Torrid. Try this site

their corsets and lingerie is very nice and some with built in support :loveshowe

Hmmmm, Rhiannon is out east and AZRedHot is out west.................

How about that, I happen to be pretty much right in the middle. I say you two lovely ladies come to Iowa. If you build it, I will cum.

Sorry, couldn't resist that one.

AZRedHot 12-08-2007 08:32 PM

I'm could be persuaded, how 'bout you, Rhiannon? Thanks for the link. I haven't had much luck with Lane Bryant except for bras. Their clothes are cut in a way that never quite fits me right. I haven't looked at their fancier lingerie, though.

Of course we'll have to wait until summer; I don't do winter anymore. Once it gets below 50, I start whining. You know what "Iowa" stands for, don't you IowaMan?

"I Oughta Went Around."

Go Huskers. ;)

Rhiannon 12-08-2007 08:36 PM

hmmm. i might be able to be presuaded if he asked nice. lol

Hey yall...

One night me and a buddy stayed up looking for all types of lingerie for a "special weekend" and we came up with a lot of sites. I too am in abundance of cleavage and needed the support for the girls. I came across this site and was impressed with the photos...haven't ordered from them yet so dont hold it against me.

Maybe it will help?

So bloody true - I swear they just add an extra yard of fabric to stuff designed for size 8 models with a AA cup. I bought a nice halterneck top so bought a bra with a strap that was halterneck and the bloody thing broke under the strain!!
