Last year when I discussed holidays with my students I was fortunate enough to have a co-worker of Mr. Lil email my class with all the answers to questions they had about how they typically celebrate. It's amazing how open and interested they were in learning about something they have no experience with from another culture. Too bad their parents were not equally as interested in having me broadening their horizons.
