A furry Angel of Death?

I was just reading this article a little bit ago myself. I've always been more of a dog person and cats just seem to shy away from me. I'm thinking I'll be a bit worried the next time a cat decides to snuggle up next to me.

Very cool. Animals are so damn intuitive.

Jude30,

How about that! I seems that medical science still has a thing or two to learn.

An interesting story. Thank you.

I thought it was a pretty cool story. My wife thought it was creepy.

If dogs can sniff out cancer and predict upcoming seizure activity I think we should seriously look at what they sense that we don't.

Oldfart 07-26-2007 12:10 AM

So long as it steers clear of me, I'm cool with it.

Loulabelle 07-26-2007 03:38 AM

You have no idea how much I wish this sense were reciprocal and that humans could tell when animals were going to die *sniff sniff*.......I believe that animals know when their own time is up too (hence why cats in particular go missing beforehand).

If it were me, I'd be absolutely fine with having a cat snuggle up to me at the last and very comforted to know that my loved one had a furry companion like that. I certainly wouldn't send him out of the room - that would just seem ungrateful.

Cool story!

My cat used to insist on snuggling up with me when I was sick and/or upset (ie: crying). I miss that!

What a very neat story. Animals are so very special. It's amazing how much joy and peace they bring into the world ...

... people can learn a lot from them. :boink:

Freakin' mammals.

Is it possible that upon seeing the "death cat" come their way...these people are dropping dead of a heart attack thinking they're next? "It must be my time...here comes that fucking cat!"

Kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

IowaMan 07-26-2007 10:09 AM

I'm betting you don't hear the phrase, "Here kitty, kitty, kitty!" at that place very often. :yikes:

ShadowDancer 07-26-2007 10:19 AM

my sis-in-law used to have a cat that knew when a woman was pregnant before the woman even knew.

WildIrish 07-26-2007 10:22 AM

I wonder if they screw with each other by hiding kitty snacks in people's stuff.
