How does someone like this actually get to be in a position to work with children?

I'm always disgusted when I see stories about a coach or father behaving like that. Is an 8 year old baseball team's Win/Loss ratio really that important that you have to hurt someone? And at what point did it become more important than a team member's right to enjoy and participate?

There should be a license you have to earn before you're allowed to parent.

Because the world is full of assholes, and no matter what you do, there's no way to catch them all, *all the time* before they do anything stupid/harmful/hateful.

because all the other parents are to busy to have time for their children, so the prevs and idoits are the only ones available.
