R.I.P. Smart-1!
The experimental satellite SMART-1 is scheduled to hit the moon near the Lake of Excellence tomorrow at 05:41 Pixies time. The European Space Agency hopes that the debris kicked up from the impact site will provide information about the Moon's composition and history.
From what I have read, the SMART-1 mission has been very successful. I hope that as it ends with a bang, the mission gets one last scientific payback. Good luck! |
Interesting....sometimes does it strike you that the boys in the space program like to play with their toys, and sometimes get to destroy them in fantastic ways?
This scenario would make any 6 year old jump for joy |
Doitagain Doitagain......

Surely you've heard the saying, "The difference between the men & the boys is the price of their toys"...nothing like the chance to crash a multi-billion dollar vehicle to bring out the boy in even the most sober rocket scientist... |
And the problem with that is . . what?
|
Oh mannnnnnnnnnn........... I do hate people that litter! :spin:

Poor timing. :(
The residual overcast from Ernesto prevented even the opportunity of watching! Bah! |
