Tuesday night, Lake and I were eating on our patio, when suddenly, he said, "Hey what's that???" There was something watching us from the side of the lawn! I got up to get a closer look, but he ran away as soon as he saw me move...

The next night, as we were once again having supper on the deck, the kitty came back! The poor thing was probably hungry, so we set out some food for it. I think it was then that the little one adopted us. Thursday morning and night, he was back, and by Thursday night he was rubbing up against our hands and legs. If you look over his left eye, you'll see a little white streak - it almost looks like he rubbed himself in wet paint. That streak is the source of his name : Vinci!

He's adoreable!! And good for you two.....so many people mistreat stray cats ..it's really disturbing...it pisses me off so bad.

I hope you enjoy your new friend!!

Last night Vinci was comfortable enough with us that he let us bring him into the house. He immediately made himself comfortable! Now, as soon as one of us lies down, Vinci runs over and snuggles up - and you should hear him purr!!!!!!!!

PixieSprite, if he'll let you, get him to the vet and make sure all is well. He is adorable...make sure he's healthy, too.

We had a similar experience...she's a loving member of our family now. :)

NICE PUSSY!!!!.....sorry...I just had to!!

Actually, last night he was sneezing quite a bit and when he tried to meow, no sound would come out... This morning when we got up he was wheezing and rasping when he was trying to breathe, so Lake and I brought him in to the vet. Turns out it's an upper respiratory tract infection, so the vet gave us antibiotics for him and after having only one dose, he's already looking and sounding much better. While we were there we got him checked for feline leukemia too, and that test came out negative (thank god!). The vet said she estimates him to be about 2 1/2 to 3 months old, but he's only 2 1/2 lbs - he probably hadn't had much to eat in his life so far, poor thing :(

You are the perfect loving person for that little cat.

I think God told him to go to you so that you would help him.

:)

Nope, Lake is going to be keeping him here in NS while I am in Montréal. Just one more reason to look forward to coming back here :D

He really is tooooooooo adorable though... The vet said he was probably really only black and white, and the brown on his back would be black faded from the sun. The way he's always finding the one spot outside or in the house where there is sunshine, it wouldn't surprise me a bit that that's what happened! He's our little sun worshipper ;)
