the new Harper's Bazaar cover with Britney Spears naked and pregnant?

My mom and I had this converstaion eariler today. She thinks it is completly trashy for anyone to pose nude while they are pregnant, and that it is something that should be kept under cover. I completely disagree. I think the most beautiful time in a woman's life is when she is pregnant to take pictures of it (nude or otherwise) is the most natural and gorgeous thing in the world.

In reference to Britney's pics I think that they are very classy (for once). Good for her!

What do you think?

i haven't seen the photos of spears, but speaking generally about the subject, i see nothing wrong with it.

I have always felt that pregnant women are beautiful.

In fact, I feel so adamantly about it that I'd like to officially request a MommaPucker pictorial! :D

I have absolutely no objection to it.

My basic standard on such things: The observer doesn't change the act.

Is pregnancy ok? Sure. Therefore a picture of pregnancy is ok.

While I think that it is the most beautiful time in a woman's life, I don't view it as a fashion statement.

I saw the interview with Spears and have to say I find nothing beautiful about her pregnant or not. To me she is a poor role model, not particularily pretty, and frankly I bet there are 289457852378 other pregnant models who could have graced the cover without the tacky black dye job.


So in other words I have no real opinion :yikes:

I haven't seen the pics either and like Lil don't hold much of an opinion on Brittney. I have seen IKAG pregnant pics and other and I do think it's a beautiful and natural thing. I say if you are comfortable with it then go for it. When I was pregnant I preferred hiding behind a big tent dress with a bow at the neck. :D

I thought that it was a Demi Moore rip-off pose. And her hands were in the wrong place.

Even though I felt soooo huge at 8 1/2 months, I had some done. Not completely nude, but close enough for my comfort. When I look at them now I'm like "wow, those are pretty nice". I even have one framed in my living room and am quite proud of it.

I saw Ms. Spears pic on line of the magazine and it does remind me of Demi Moore's...well Demi's was better.

I guess I'm just tired of hearing of Spears.

nothing against the concept at all - pregnancy is a beautiful thing...

just have no opinions of Britney...her 15 minutes were up a few hours ago if you know what I mean...

I personally am no Spears fan... not in any stretch of the imagination... that being said...

I have seen the pic... and for the 1st time (and I am betting the only time)... I honestly thought what a beautiful girl she is... honestly the best picture I have seen of her...

tho no doubt... it was majorly brushed up. LOL

I have always been quite fascinated by pregnant women and I think pictures of pregnant women can be beautiful.

I do intend to take at least a couple of shots of myself at some point, but I'm waiting until I actually look more pregnant. At the moment, people keep asking me where my bump is! In fact, more people have commented that I've lost weight than on how big I'm getting!

As for whether the pictures make it onto Pixies - well that depends on how good they look! It's OK for Brittney - she has an airbrush artist to remove any stretch marks - I think I found my first one on my hip this week! :hair:

DON'T WAIT!!! Take pics now, and post them! THEN take more pics when you look more pregnant, and post them too!!!

As for me, I thought the Britney pic was actually pretty good, and didn't look tacky at all. I think it's awesome that she is still proud of her body when pregnant, and is happy to show it off - that's so cool!

IAKG was beautiful in her pregnant pics..... just as she's beautiful now :)

So while I couldn't really care less about Britney, I like her pregnant pics and I like her pride in herself. Thumbs up from me!
