I miss you!
 

As some of you guys know, I started a new job last Thursday and it's quite a transition. While I really like it so far, there's a lot of things I miss about my old one. The people I worked with were terrific and we all really clicked. Now I have more people working for me but I think once we get used to each other we'll be right as rain too.

I like commuting in the opposite direction than that I'm use to. I've been making the drive towards Hartford for 13 years (spanning two jobs) and just seeing the country roads is pleasant for a change.

The property is beautiful, in a much different way than the last location. I went from marble lobbies and manicured landscaping to granite buildings with a river running through the property. It's very calming, actually. And rumor has it that the fishing is great. I hope I get to enjoy some.

But I really miss Pixies, the site and the people. I'm having a hard time with that. I've grown to love being at the site, and I really miss being there. It's a conduit to something I really love.

Right now, not only am I pretty busy, but I'm also playing it safe. So if you don't see me as regularly as you used to...it's not because I don't want to be here. And it's not because I don't care. I'll get over my snobby distaste for my cheesy home dial-up connection and check in more often from there.

I think you should get DSL or Cable Modem, and perhaps a cellular modem so that you can check in ALL the time! :)

But in the interim -- even if you aren't here as much -- I wish you happiness.

I had a little shake up a while ago at work that kept me off the site for a few weeks. It was awful and I... I... I don't want to think about it anymore.

Anyway, you know that I'm right here, waiting to give you a manly sock in the arm whenever you can check in... so you better do so often or your arm will go soft. :p

I do love the job so far, and if I can make a successful run of this...it'll be quite an achievement.

I make a habit of infecting everyone around me with cheer, so I plan on "spreading the love" there in no time as well. I have no reason to believe it won't be well received, but until then...I'm the new boy that has a lot to learn. I'll wear them down, don't worry. They'll be shaking their heads and rolling their eyes at my antics in no time. :D

In the mean time...know you're missed, cuz ya are!
