Online News Source

I really don't have time to read a newspaper anymore so I get most of my news online. I was always a CNN fan until the recent change in their webpage layout. What is the URL you use to get news online? What is the reason you like that website?

You might try: http://farstrider.net/DeepThoughts/News.htm

Carries such important stories as:

Man Sentenced for Shooting at Toy Plane
Man Catches Train, Forgets Baby in Car
Miami dancer sues show for dismissal over bra size
Fishnet Hosiery Does in Robbery Suspect

Okay, maybe it's not what you had in mind, but you might still enjoy it. Can you honestly say you enjoy the news you normally see or read each day?

:)

Like you,I no longer subscribe to the {LA}Times or any other news paper. Salon.com is one source I go to. Also the World Socialist Web Site,Common Dreams and Unknown News. These are pretty much for world stories, for local news,I listen to NPR.

Im' a news junkie-I find my sources from a lot of different places. NYTimes for some of it, Washingtonpost.com for some, cnn, although like you, I don't like their new layout. Couple of secondary news sources, like comcast or yahoo. I tend to as you know, have a penchant for the weird news, and gravitate towards them-often the secondary sources are good for that-they usually use Reuters or AP "wire" services as their primaries for such.

I have a google account (gmail) and that allows me if I choose google as my homepage to set up what I want to see. I mainly have news sources.. CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC, Rueters, BBC, Wired, etc...Tech stuff and even entertainment news. I get a smattering from pretty much everywhere.

I also used to be a newspaper junkie until I got online...I still get the daily paper, but it often goes unread into the recycling bin...I left www.comcast.net up as my home page, I usually give it a quick scan before I go to work online...
