I can imagine how peaceful I would feel walking along that path... but I bet they scare the shit out of the birds... :p

I've heard (from people who live there) that it was so exciting in theory...but now that they are in place they aren't what was expected. Some said it's almost an eyesore in contrast to the few trees in the park. And...the traffic is horrendous now...which is always a complaint when New York gets a major attraction.

I don't mean to rain on your mental parade Lil...I thought just as you did. I just wanted to give the "insider" part of the story as well. Seems the grass isn't always greener to some!
