If she was a virgin, and you are opposed to taking her with (as NS suggested), then go small.

Look up pictures online, and make sure this is something that won't embarrass her or make her uncomfortable, first.

She would probably appreciate a walk through the store so she can discretely identify what she fancies, and then you can go back alone and buy it.
